Authorities have charged a Danbury man in the hit-and-run death of a 24-year-old woman .
The Danbury man allegedly hit a woman who police say was lying in an upstate New York road . There is no info as to why she was lying in the road.
State police say 29-year-old Baruch Emmanuel of Danbury was charged with leaving the scene of an accident resulting in death..which is a felony. He was also charged with jumping bail on a pending drunken driving charge . .
Troopers say the woman was found early Sunday morning on a ramp near Route 9W in Cornwall , NY 55 miles north of New York City.
Emmanuel was sent to the Orange County Jail in lieu of $200,000 cash bail.
