Bethel Police have identified the man who was killed in a van versus dump truck accident on Stony Hill Road on Tuesday. Police say 25-year-old Stalin Gualan of Danbury was the van's driver.
Route 6 between McNeil Road and Old Hawleyville Road was shut down for little more than five hours while the Fire and Police Departments along with EMTs responded. That also included the time when the accident reconstruction team was investigating the accident.
Police say the van's driver crossed the double yellow line and crashed head-on into the parked truck.
The truck's driver had just gone into a nearby deli for lunch when the vehicle was struck.
