Some area police Departments are teaming up for a regional enforcement effort. Bethel Police are stepping up patrols looking for drivers who violate seatbelt and cell phone laws.
That enhancement effort takes place through June 3rd.
Bethel Police along with Departments in Newtown, Brookfield and Redding also also looking for seatbelt and cell phone law violators using checkpoints. There will be one in Newtown on Monday, a checkpoint in Redding on Tuesday and one in Bethel on Wednesday.
The Brookfield checkpoint is taking place the day after Memorial Day, Tuesday May 29th.
