Brookfield incumbent State Representative David Scribner has won a chance to run for another term. He did not win the endorsement of the party, but was able to win the support of voters.
Endorsed candidate Harry Shaker says he was hoping to win, but prepared not to beat the long-time State Representative. He is a Board of Education member in Brookfield and has about a year left to serve on that Board.
The 107th district includes all of Brookfield, the Stony Hill section of Bethel and a portion of Danbury. The unofficial tally is 1,024 votes for Scribner, 660 for Shaker.
