New York State Police conducted an underage drinking initiative on Friday in North Salem, Lewisboro, Somers and Pound Ridge. The initiative was carried out by a team of State Police members with the cooperation of an underage male operative, who tried to purchase alcoholic beverages from 10 establishments. 8 places complied and refused to sell to the youth volunteer. Two establishments did make a sale. The clerks at Pound Ridge Wine and Spirits and Rocky's Deli in Somers were each charged.
