The New Milford Ethics Commission has issued a drafter determination that Town Councilman Frank Wargo did not violate the ethics code when he submitted a bid to buy town-owned property. Wargo sought the advisory opinion, which was discussed Wednesday night, after being criticized for bidding on the Church Street building that, as a town councilman, he approved selling. The Commission will vote whether to approve the draft ruling next month. His bid was rejected, and the Commission said he acted unwisely. Wargo lost his bid for re-election Tuesday.
