A Connecticut resident has been sentenced for distributing heroin involved in an overdose death of a Monroe woman last year. 25-year old Daquone Johnson of Bridgeport was ordered to 13 months in prison followed by 3 years of supervised released, and 25 hours of community service.
A 30-year-old woman was found unresponsive at a home in Monroe last May, and did not respond to Narcan. While administering aide to the victim, hospital staff located unopened heroin folds, which also tested positive for fentanyl.
Calls and text messages to and from the victim’s phone revealed that she ordered heroin from Johnson on the day of her death. Johnson was ordered to report to prison on February 8th.
