A Sherman teenager involved in a car accident in Danbury has been arrested on drug related charges.  Police on Thursday responded to Clapboard Ridge Road, in the area of the high school, and could smell marijuana coming from one of the vehicles. 

 

Inside 18-year old Emily Burkhadt's car, officers found pot, a marijuana grinder, THC Wax, several amphetamine salts, Adderall pills, and sheets of acid.  As she was transported to the police station, Burkhardt was seen moving in the back of the cruiser.  Officers then found additional Adderall Pills.

 

Burkhardt was charged with illegal possession of a hallucinogen, possession of a controlled substance, interfering with a Police Officer and following to closely, two counts each of possession of marijuana, possession of paraphernalia, possession of paraphernalia near a school, and manufacturing with intent to sell hallucinogens, and three counts each of possession near a school and possession with intent to sell. 

 

Burkhardt was held on a $25,000.00 bond.
