Two Connecticut men are being sought by state police for stealing from a Southbury property. Classic Coach employees arriving for work Thursday morning saw two people stealing items from the property and ran away.
Some workers followed the red pickup truck while on the phone with police to report the incident. The suspects ditched the vehicle near a church parking lot in Oxford and fled on foot.
State Police say a Seymour K9 officer tracked 20-year old John Polakowski of Waterbury to the Oxford water pump station house, where he was hiding. The Waterbury man revealed the identity of the other suspect as 43-year old Wayne Conroy. Polakowski was charged with larceny, interfering with police and motor vehicle violations.
The Naugatuck man, who is wanted on a number of active warrants, is being sought by troopers.
The criminal investigation is continuing.
