Nearly half a million dollars in state funding is coming to Aids Project Greater Danbury. The State Bond Commission will meet next week on the $475,000 for the group to purchase and renovate their administrative building on West Street.
Founder and Chairman Dr Donald Evans says as a community care organization, they serve nearly 400 clients. He notes that all funds they raise are used for patient care and they use federal grants to pay the salaries of the fully trained staff.
Aids Project Greater Danbury was created in 1984.
