An independent film by a West Conn associate Professor and some students is being shown at the university tonight. Dr. JC Barone says the short movie called "She Said He Said" delivers poignant, realistic insights into contemporary college life.
The West Conn production is being introduced to students across America. That's because Barone was tapped by international publisher Pearson Education to create a film to be included with interpersonal communication textbooks.
Barone says more than 30 actors including West Conn students and faculty along with performers from the greater Danbury area filmed 10 different scenarios about college life.
Barone has produced several previous film projects for Pearson Education, including two that earned Telly Awards.
Barone says casting is half the battle of putting together a good production, and he is very pleased with the outcome. Student Eric Steiner wrote the script, Brittany Nisco served as line producer and alumni Kevin Jones was production manager.
