The long-awaited visit of the Dalai Lama to West Conn is this week. Since there has been such a demand for the two lectures being given by the Dalai Lama, West Conn has made some provisions for people who weren't able to get tickets. University Spokesman Paul Steinmetz says they were overwhelmed by the interest in the events.
Steinmetz says there is off campus parking that people attending the event on the West Side Campus are being asked to use. There will be shuttle buses running from the off campus parking to the West Side Campus. Those with tickets are also asked to arrive half an hour prior to the scheduled start of the events.
There will be a free live-stream of the talks in Ives Concert Hall in White Hall on the midtown campus with seating on a first come first serve basis.
