Man charged with hit and run wanted on probation violation

Two drivers racing in Danbury catches the attention of police late Monday night.  An officer spotted 2 cars on North Main Street just before midnight that looked like they were racing each other. 

Police say 41-year old Emmett Handrahan was trying to get away from the other driver, who reported that the Danbury man hit his car. 

Handrahan was charged with reckless driving and operating under suspension.  He is also wanted on a probation violation warrant.  He was held on bond for arraignment.
