Secretary of the State Denise Merrill says some polling places across Connecticut remain without electricity. She said the state's two largest electric utilities Connecticut Light Power and United Illuminating have assured her they are working hard to restore power in time for Tuesday's elections.
The Danbury Hispanic Center will be providing free rides to Danbury polling sites on Election Day. Any registered voter in the City in need of a ride can call 203-798-2855 from 10am Tuesday to 8pm Tuesday. The Hispanic Center is also stepping up to replace two Election Day call centers that are not operable due to Storm Sandy. Anyone in the state in need of information on their polling site or other information can call 203-798-2855 for those details.
Merrill's office has placed samples all of the ballots online from each of the municipalities in the state.
