ORANGE, Conn. (AP) Orange police have arrested a mother accused of leaving her 3-year-old son in a car as she was grocery shopping.
Police charged Nathalie Stonier of Shelton on Thursday with risk of injury to a minor.
Police responded to a supermarket after receiving a 911 call about the child left in the car. Police say Stonier came out of the store when she saw police arrive.
Her husband, Rick Stonier, said she's an ``incredible mom'' who made a mistake.
He says police and the media are on heightened alert after a Groton man was accused of leaving his 6-month old daughter in an unlocked car on Tuesday and a Georgia man who's been accused of intentionally killing his toddler son by leaving the boy inside a hot SUV.
Stonier said his wife is ``obviously regretful.''
