CHESHIRE, Conn. (AP) A 20-year-old hiker was injured after falling 15 feet while hiking in the woods in Cheshire. He was airlifted to the hospital with injuries described as non-life threatening.

Police said the incident happened Wednesday evening at Roaring Brook Falls. Emergency crews who responded to the scene rescued Spencer Hackett from of the woods and took him by ambulance to a LifeStar helicopter.

He was airlifted to Hartford Hospital, where he was listed in stable condition Wednesday night.
