HADDAM, Conn. (AP) A Connecticut State Police trooper suffered minor injuries when his cruiser was struck by motorist on Route 9 in Haddam.
State police say Trooper Donald Dunning was in the left lane between Exits 9 and 10 working in a construction zone when his cruiser was rear-ended at about 10:25 a.m. Friday.
Police say Dunning was transported to Middlesex Hospital and treated for a leg injury.
The other driver, 41-year-old Geoffrey Weaving of North Haven, was not injured.
The accident remained under investigation Friday afternoon, and no charges had been filed.
