WATERBURY, Conn. (AP) A newspaper reports that a Waterbury judicial marshal charged with promoting prostitution was the subject of at least four internal investigations since 2001.
The Republican-American reports that judicial branch personnel said Michael Connelly violated the state's policies on sexual harassment and looked at pornography on a judge's computer.
The newspaper cited judicial branch documents obtained in an open records request.
A marshal told an investigator that Connelly had shown his co-workers a nude photo of an escort he met online and with whom he was in a relationship. The marshal also said Connelly threatened to tell the woman's mother her daughter was an escort.
Connelly, who was arrested last week on charges of promoting prostitution, does not have a listed phone number.
His lawyer has said he plans to mount a defense.
