Stamford suspect in fatal hit and run pleads not guilty

STAMFORD, Conn. (AP) A Stamford woman has pleaded not guilty to fleeing the scene of an accident where two people were left to die.

The Stamford Advocate reports that Felicia Burl was arraigned on felony charges at Stamford Superior Court Thursday. She pleaded not guilty to manslaughter, leaving the scene of an accident and second-degree assault.

Police say Burl fled on foot after causing the accident last month by running a red light and slamming into a passing car.

Judith Andriulli, a passenger in the car driven by her husband, Anthony, died. She was 70.

Anthony Andriulli sustained numerous broken bones and Nixon Henry of Stamford also was killed. The 50-year-old Henry was ejected from the passenger seat of his car.

The 32-year-old Burl has been convicted of probation violations, drug dealing, assault and hindering prosecution.
