NEW LONDON, Conn. (AP) New London police say a 4-year-old and a teenage girl were injured when someone opened fire outside a high-rise apartment building.
Witnesses reported seeing two men shooting toward a courtyard at the building on Crystal Avenue just before 10 p.m. on Monday.
The teen was struck in the upper arm and a 4-year-old suffered what police describe as a graze wound.
Both were taken to Lawrence + Memorial Hospital for treatment.
Police say it appears the shooters were aiming at someone else.
No arrests have been made.
