HARTFORD, Conn. (AP) Police say a 32-year-old man has died after he was shot multiple times in Hartford.

The shooting happened around 5:30 p.m. Thursday near an apartment building in the area of New Park Avenue.

Police say an unknown number of assailants fired multiple shots at the unidentified man.

He was taken to Hartford Hospital, where he died of his injuries. No one else was injured.

No arrests have been made, but police believe the man may have been targeted.

The shooting marks the city's 16th homicide.
