HAMDEN, Conn. (AP) Police say a 3-year-old girl was taken to a hospital after she was found wandering through a Connecticut town crying for her mother.
The child was found in Hamden around 3:15 a.m. Saturday. She was spotted by a neighbor who took the child inside her home and called police.
Police say no one was at the girl's home at the time. She was taken to Yale-New Haven Hospital for treatment. Her identity has not been released.
The Hamden Police Department Special Victim's Unit and the state Department of Children and Families are investigating.
