32 displaced by apartment building fire in Connecticut

HARTFORD, Conn. (AP) Thirty-two people have been displaced by a fire that ripped through an apartment building in Hartford.

Fire officials say firefighters rescued numerous people from the 3-story, 18-unit building after the fire broke out around 1:20 p.m. Sunday. Two residents were taken to the hospital for evaluations. No firefighters were reported injured.

Officials from the fire department, city health and human services department and Red Cross relocated 25 adults and seven children.

The fire marshal's office says the fire was accidentally caused by an unattended candle.
