Connecticut parents sue schools, town over son's suicide

GREENWICH, Conn. (AP) The parents of a 15-year-old Connecticut boy who killed himself in 2013 are suing Greenwich schools and town government, saying local officials failed to adequately address the years of bullying their son suffered.

Anna Izabela Palosz and Franciszek Palosz filed a wrongful death lawsuit Wednesday in Stamford Superior Court.

The Greenwich Time reports that the parents accuse school officials of failing to follow mandatory anti-bullying policies that would have protected their son, Bartlomiej ``Bart'' Palosz. They say officials didn't investigate the bullying or discipline the bullies.

The family says they hope the lawsuit prompts Greenwich officials to improve how they respond to bullying and students in need.

School officials referred questions about the lawsuit to the town attorney, John Wayne Fox, who didn't immediately return messages Wednesday.
