NEW LONDON, Conn. (AP) New London police are investigating the shootings of three people that appear to be related.

Officers responding to a 911 call at about 11:45 p.m. Tuesday found one victim in a parking lot near the Nowhere Cafe. The victim was taken to Lawrence Memorial Hospital for treatment of a gunshot wound to the upper left thigh.

A second victim arrived at the hospital with a gunshot wound to the chest and was transferred to the Yale-New Haven Hospital. A third victim showed up at the hospital with a gunshot wound to his back and abdominal area and was also transferred to Yale-New Haven.

No names were released.

Police are asking anyone who knows anything about the shootings to contact them.
