Lawyer: Woman had relationship with man charged in killing

HARTFORD, Conn. (AP) An attorney for a man charged with killing a 23-year-old Hartford woman says the two had a sexual relationship.

Bloomfield and Hartford police say 59-year-old Robert Graham, also of Hartford, was arrested Friday night in connection with the death of Tashauna Jackson. Graham was found hiding in his attic.

Graham's lawyer said police found him hiding because Jackson's family had threatened him.

Family and friends found Jackson's body behind a butcher shop on Aug. 18. Police said it appeared someone had tried to conceal her body.

He was ordered held on $2 million bond Monday morning and is due back in court on Sept. 14.

The Hartford Courant reports he was previously imprisoned in connection with the stabbing death of a teenager in 1983.
