BRIDGEPORT, Conn. (AP) A Fairfield dance instructor has pleaded guilty to sexually assaulting a 13-year-old female student.

John Sadowski pleaded guilty Wednesday in Superior Court to fourth-degree sexual assault and risk of injury to children.

The Connecticut Post reports that the judge said he would consider a two-year prison term when the 26-year-old Sadowski is sentenced Nov. 6.

Authorities say the victim had been taking lessons from Sadowski since she was five. Recently, the girl's mother discovered a sexual text message from Sadowski on her daughter's cellphone.

Police says the defendant's cellphone had 500 texts exchanged between the two, many of them sexual in nature.

When police questioned the girl they said she acknowledged that Sadowski had inappropriately touched her twice.
