WATERTOWN, Conn. (AP) State police say a Connecticut man survived a one-car crash, left his car and was killed after he was hit by a vehicle.
Police say 43-year-old Marc Warzocha, of Farmington, crashed his 2005 Chevrolet Equinox Wednesday night on the southbound lanes of Route 8 in Watertown.
State police say a preliminary investigation found that Warzocha left the vehicle and walked across the grass median onto the northbound lanes, when a Mercedes Benz struck him. He later died at Waterbury Hospital.
Police say the driver of the Mercedes, Shannon Mazzeo, of Wolcott, did not appear injured.
No charges have been filed.
