Southern Connecticut announced presidential finalists

NEW HAVEN, Conn. (AP) - The search for a new president of Southern Connecticut State University is down to three finalists.

The school in New Haven announced Friday that the finalists are Joe Bertolino, president and special assistant to the chancellor at Lyndon State College in Vermont; S. Alan Ray, a visiting scholar at Harvard Law School and former president of Elmhurst College in Illinois; and Selase Williams, provost and vice president for academic affairs at Lesley University in Massachusetts.

All three candidates are scheduled to visit campus the week of June 20 to meet with faculty, students, staff, and community stakeholders.

The national search was conducted by the Regents Search Committee with assistance from the University Advisory Committee.

A final decision is expected in July.
