ENFIELD, Conn. (AP) - Authorities say a woman was killed and a man seriously hurt in a motorcycle crash on Interstate 91 southbound in Enfield.

Caroline Mcallister of Milford died in the crash early Monday morning. State police say the 48-year-old woman was a passenger in a motorcycle driven by 49-year-old Randal Ruelle of Milford.

Police say a vehicle hit the motorcycle while changing lanes near exit 48 just after midnight. The driver wasn't injured.

Mcallister was taken to Bay State Hospital where she was later pronounced dead. Ruelle was hospitalized with serious injuries.

Authorities are investigating.
