Police: 6 injured in SUV, truck crash on I-84 in Connecticut

VERNON, Conn. (AP) - State police say three adults and three children were injured when a truck hit a sport utility vehicle on Interstate 84 in Connecticut.

Police say the truck driver was trying to change lanes Sunday afternoon in Vernon when he hit the SUV next to him. The truck pushed the SUV sideways and both cars went off the highway's right shoulder. The truck rolled down an embankment.

Police say the driver of the SUV, 45-year-old Marion Terry, of Sturbridge, Massachusetts, suffered minor injuries. She was taken to Hartford Hospital. An 11-year-old and two 14-year-old girls were taken to the Connecticut Children's Medical Center with minor injuries.

The truck driver, 70-year-old Manuel Santos, and his passenger, both of California, were hospitalized with minor injuries.
