State trooper suffers minor injuries in multivehicle crash

WINDSOR LOCKS, Conn. (AP) - A Connecticut State Police trooper has suffered minor injuries in a multivehicle crash.

It happened Wednesday afternoon on Interstate 91 northbound in Windsor Locks.

Authorities say a motorcyclist swerved into the trooper's lane to avoid being hit by a tractor-trailer, which then caused the trooper to swerve. Officials say the trooper lost control of his cruiser and crashed into a concrete barrier, before being struck by the tractor-trailer. Debris from the crash then hit a fourth vehicle.

The trooper, who was identified as 27-year-old Aaron Pelletier, was taken to a hospital with minor injuries. He was treated and released.

No other injuries were reported.

The crash remains under investigation.
