EAST HAVEN, Conn. (AP) - Two people are accused of assaulting a pizza delivery driver during an attempted robbery in East Haven.
The Hartford Courant reports 27-year-old Jonathan Perdue, of East Haven, and 36-year-old Tanya La Kierce, of Wallingford, are charged with second-degree breach of peace, second-degree threatening and second-degree criminal attempt to commit robbery.
Officers were called to the scene just before 8 p.m. Saturday for a reported fight. Responding officers learned there was an altercation in the street and a Domino's Pizza delivery driver was assaulted.
Police say Perdue and La Kierce fled the scene but were located in a neighborhood about three minutes away. Lt. Joseph Murgo says they were combative and threatened officers.
Both Perdue and La Kierce are being held on $100,000 bond. It's unclear if they have lawyers.
