BRIDGEPORT, Conn. (AP) - Police are investigating after a male victim was shot in the back while riding a bicycle in Bridgeport.
The Connecticut Post reports the unidentified victim was shot near the intersection of Maple and Kossuth streets at about 9:30 p.m. Wednesday.
The victim was taken to an area hospital with injuries not believed to be life-threatening.
Police are looking for a red car in connection with the incident. It's unclear if the gunman opened fire from the car or if he exited the vehicle before shooting.
Capt. Brian Fitzgerald says the victim told officers he did not see the shooter.
