Man convicted in 2 killings charged in 2 more slayings

HARTFORD, Conn. (AP) A Connecticut man convicted in the killings of two women in Hartford has been charged in the deaths of two more women in the capital city.

The Office of the Chief State's Attorney says 56-year-old Robert White, formerly of Hartford, was arraigned Monday in Hartford Superior Court. White is charged with murder in the 1997 slaying of Shiraleen Crawford and in the 2012 slaying of Sonia Rivera. Bond was set at $1 million in each case. It's unclear if White has a lawyer.

White is serving a 50-year prison sentence for murder in the 2013 death of Sawarie Krichindath. He was convicted in 1980 of manslaughter in the beating death of Betty Robertson.

Authorities say White is a registered sex offender with a ``pattern of violence against women.''
