GROTON, Conn. (AP) - Police in Groton say an altercation outside a restaurant left a man shot and two suspects at large over the weekend.

Police say it's unclear how the altercation started Sunday in the parking lot. Officers are working with Amtrak investigators to find the suspects after indications they may have boarded a rail car.

The victim was taken to a local hospital with a gunshot wound and then transported to Yale-New Haven Hospital in unknown condition.

Police say the shooting was unrelated to the restaurant.
