Man pleads guilty to selling heroin in fatal overdose

NEW HAVEN, Conn. (AP) A Hartford man has pleaded guilty to selling the heroin that led to a fatal overdose.

Aaron Gyambibi pleaded guilty Thursday in New Haven federal court to one count of possession with intent to distribute and distribution of heroin. Gyambibi faces up to 20 years in prison when he's sentenced on July 6.

Authorities say an investigation found that 26-year-old Gyambibi sold heroin to a 31-year-old man who overdosed in an Enfield home on May 7. Police found two bags of heroin in the victim's fist.

Gyambibi has been detained since his arrest in November.
