Police: Business fire considered 'suspicious'

BLOOMFIELD, Conn. (AP) Officials say a fire that damaged a Connecticut business may have been intentionally set.

The Hartford Courant reports a fire at medical equipment supplier Soma Technology Inc. in Bloomfield is being viewed as a possible arson.

The fire triggered an alarm shortly before 3 a.m. Monday and caused extensive damage to the back of the building.

Police say investigators have determined that the fire has appeared to have started in two separate spots, making them ``suspicious.''

The State Police Fire and Explosion Investigative unit continues to pursue details about the cause of the fires.

The company did not immediately respond to a call for comment.
