A New York man has been arrested on drug related offenses after a welfare check by state police. Troopers from the Brewster barracks responded to a business parking lot off of Route 6 Monday. They could smell marijuana coming from 45-year old Todd Balzano's car. A search by K9 Graydon turned up crystal methamphetamine and marijuana. The New York City man was charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance and unlawful possession of marijuana. He was arraigned and ordered held on bond. Balzano is scheduled to appear in court next week.
