A number of vehicles caught fire in Danbury late last night at a landscaping and construction business. Firefighters responded to South Street around 10:30pm and had to cut a chain on a gate to gain entrance. Inside a fenced area, firefighters found a box truck, dump truck, and two pickup trucks fully engulfed in flames. The fire extended to a small wood frame storage structure and a fenced in area where two equipment trailers were stored. The structure and one of the trailers sustaining minimal damage. Crews connected to a hydrant on South Street and also used foam to extinguish the blaze. The Danbury Fire Marshal’s Office and Danbury Police Department are investigating.
