A car rear ended a tractor trailer flatbed which was parked on the right side of a highway ramp this morning in Danbury. The crash happened around 7:30 this morning on the I-84 eastbound exit 2 on ramp. The driver was transported to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries. The driver said the crash happened because of sun glare restricting their vision.
A person had to be extricated from their car after a crash in Bethel yesterday afternoon. Stony Hill Volunteer Fire Company responded to Dodgingtown Road around 3pm. The driver was pinned in the Honda CRV at the knee with entrapment around the dashboard. It took crews 15 minutes to free the victim. The patient was transported to the hospital for treatment.
