Ridgefield Police have made an arrest in a counterfeit currency case. A 16 year old from the Bronx was issued a Juvenile Summons on February 22nd. Several retail stores in Ridgefield received a counterfeit $100 bill as payment for a purchase. At all locations, the male youth bought an item priced at $30 or less. The teen was charged with five counts each of Forgery and Larceny. The suspect is scheduled to appear in Bridgeport Juvenile Court on March 12th. The suspect was identified with the help of a store's surveillance video, and nearby police departments that had experienced similar incidents.
