A 29-year old Newtown man has been sentenced to 14 years in prison for a 2014 burglary in Southeast. The Putnam County District Attorney says Anthony Magliocco was also sentenced to time for bail jumping. He was arrested for entering a victim's home, attacking her and saying that he came there to kill her. He forcefully prevented a witness from calling 911, but fled when the victim was able to call. Maglicco failed to appear in court, instead boarding a flight from JFK to Russia. He was arrested a year later when he returned to Los Angeles. The sentences will be served consecutively, with 5 years post release supervision.
