There was a hang glider accident in New Milford over the weekend.  No serious injuries were reported.  New Milford Police were called Saturday afternoon to the area of Ridge Road for a reported plane crash. Police are investigating what caused the hang glider to crash.  The glider was about 50 feet off the ground with the pilot still restrained and uninjured.  Water Witch Hose Company Firefighters determined that the ground would be too soft for tower 25 to make the rescue so Emmons Tree & Landscaping Service was called in.  Shawn Emmons is an arborist, climber, rigger, and rescuer who brought the pilot to the ground unharmed.
