New charges are being filed against a Monroe contractor dubbed in media reports as Maple Syrup Man. Hearst Connecticut Media reports that police found an unregistered assault rifle in the home of Robert Somley, along with high capacity magazines.
He had just posted bond for violating a protective order after allegedly threatening to name the woman involved in the maple syrup incident when he was arrested again.
The initial voyeurism charges were filed last month after a female coworker walked in on Somley naked at a job site and watching pornography. The pair later engaged in foreplay with maple syrup, but the woman didn't know that Somley was recording the situation. After finding out, she demanded he delete it, but when he allegedly refused, she went to police.
Police found an unlicensed AK-47 rifle and nine high-capacity magazines at the 52-year old's home.
