A form of malware has been found in the computer system of Sherman School.  The Connecticut Post reports that State Police are investigating the discovery of ransomware on the server.  The software denies access to data or they system until a ransom is paid.  The malware was found August 16th and their data encrypted.  State Police were notified last week.  Schools in Middletown, Wallingford, New Haven, Pomfret and Wolcott were also victims of a ransomware attack.
