The Southbury Police Department is investigating a motor vehicle accident that occurred on Peter Road Sunday evening.  The suspect vehicle struck a concrete and stone mailbox around 8pm and left the scene of the accident. The suspect vehicle is possibly a Honda Accord, and sustained heavy front end damage. Anyone with information is asked to contact Officer Critelli at the Southbury Police Department.
