Homicide in Danbury

Police investigate homicide in Danbury

 

Danbury police are investigating what they term a suspicious death.  Police were called by a woman's co-workers, concerned when she did not arrive at the office Wednesday. 

 

The medical examiner's office told WLAD that 55-year old Laura Mancini died from multiple sharp force injury and asphyxia.  They have ruled the death a homicide. 

 

Mancini worked at Adam Broderick Salon in Ridgefield.  Salon owner, Adam Broderick told WLAD that Mancini worked their only 5 months, but she will be missed.  He says she was and amazing talent, had a great spirit and was always happy go lucky. 

 

Police say they went to the woman’s Smith Street apartment where they found her unresponsive with neck wounds.  Smith Street is just off of Main Street by Interstate-84.
