Connecticut moves closer to putting early voting on ballot

The state of Connecticut is moving closer to asking the voters whether they believe the state constitution should be amended to allow for in-person, early voting before an election. The House of Representatives on Thursday passed the resolution that would put the question before voters in 2022 on a bipartisan vote of 115 to 26. The resolution now awaits action by the Senate. If it passes the Senate and is ultimately passed by the voters, it will be up to the General Assembly to determine the details of how the new early voting system would work.
