The Brookfield Volunteer Fire Company is mourning the loss of former Chief Glenn Martone, who died Sunday at Danbury Hospital following a battle with cancer. Martone served the department for more than 40 years, including time as chief and board president, while also volunteering on mission trips helping people in need across several states. Firefighters called him a dedicated leader whose impact on the department and the Brookfield community will not be forgotten.
